Downings is located on the Rosguill peninsula, overlooking Sheephaven Bay, about 24 miles north of Letterkenny.

The Bonito normally departs from the Mevagh boatyard which is on Mulroy Bay.

Travel: in Ireland.

From Dublin: By BUS: McGinley's coaches and Bus Eireann both run regular services from Dublin to Letterkenny. BY AIR: Aer Arann have a scheduled service to Carickfinn airport (~40 miles away) from Dublin.
From Galway: By BUS: Feda O'Donnell coaches and Bus Eireann both run regular services from Galway to Letterkenny.
From Derry: By BUS: regular services to Letterkenny.
From Belfast:: By BUS: regular services to Derry/Letterkenny.

Travel: from Europe.
Most European countries have scheduled services to either Belfast or Dublin airports. There are also several charter and summer services to Derry City and Carickfinn airports.

To Derry: Ryanair fly scheduled services to Derry from London.
To Belfast: EasyJet have a scheduled flight to Amsterdam.
To Carrickfinn: There is a charter flight from Rotterdam, operates only during the summer.
